Electrolysis can be performed on any area of the body, and unlike some forms of hair removal, electrolysis is suitable for ALL skin colours and hair types. It is still the only hair removal method that can remove 100% of your hair permanently!

Hilltop Electrolysis uses a variety of Apilus electrolysis machines to ensure our clients are comfortable during treatment. Apilus machines are made right here in Canada and have proven to be one of the most effective and comfortable permanent hair removal machines available today.

Electrolysis process.

The process involves inserting a fine probe into the natural opening of the hair follicle,  a mild electrical current is then delivered to the hair follicle to destroy the tissue, allowing the hair to be removed immediately and without resistance.

Thermolysis and Blended techniques are Hilltop’s electrolysis methods of choice. Thermolysis is a heat-based treatment that allows the technician to achieve visible results in less time than galvanic electrolysis.

Blended electrolysis is true to its name, combining the lye produced through galvanic electrolysis with the heat from thermolysis.

We choose the techniques best suited for our individual client’s needs.

How does it feel?

Most people who undergo electrolysis treatment describe feeling a slight heat, stinging, or tingling sensation depending on the sensitivity of the client and the area that is being treated. Each person’s level of comfort will vary during a hair removal session. Topical anesthetic is readily available for clients with more delicate skin. A slight redness may occur after electrolysis treatment. This is a natural part of the healing process that will go away within a few hours. We offer a free consultation where we can do a sample treatment so that you will have a very good understanding of how it feels.
